Mehtab, meaning "moonlit," is a celebration of the timeless elegance of Chikankari embroidery—a craft known for its delicate white-on-white aesthetic. As part of this product diversification project, I designed and developed a refined collection of hand-embroidered cushions, blending heritage craftsmanship with contemporary home décor.
The Art of Chikankari
Each cushion was meticulously embroidered over two months, using authentic Chikankari stitches that have been passed down through generations. The intricate textures and ethereal beauty of the embroidery reflect the grace and precision of this age-old craft.
A Meaningful Collaboration
Working alongside master artisans was a privilege—learning from their expertise and witnessing their dedication to keeping this craft alive was truly inspiring. Mehtab is not just a collection; it’s a tribute to the artisans and their enduring legacy.
